Ashley & Donald’s Medina Wedding Chapel Wedding

Donald and Ashley were my first wedding of 2016.  Thank you both so much – your day was so perfect and I was honored to be a part of it!

The lilies in Ashley’s bouquet made a beautiful backdrop for her ring! donaldashley_blogpost-5

Donald and Ashley chose a beautiful, if a bit chilly, late April day for their wedding.  Medina Wedding Chapel is a lovely little gem tucked away in Medina, Wisconsin – about a 20 minute drive from Appleton.  Originally a church, it stood abandoned for years before being lovingly restored and repurposed as a wedding chapel.  The designer in me loved all of the original details!

First looks make me SOOOO happy!  Having a first look allows the bride and groom to have a special moment just the two of them (and me) before all the craziness starts.

After family photos, we headed to a park for a few bridal party portraits.  The park we wanted was also wanted by seemingly the entire teenage population of Appleton (yay prom night), so we headed to a next door park and everyone endured a few chilly portraits.

Their first dance was gorgeous – doesn’t it look like they’re dancing on a cloud?!

In addition to the father/daughter dance, they dedicated a song to Ashley’s grandparents.  I may or may not have cried my eyes out during this dance.  They have been married for over 50 years! Soooo precious!donaldashley_blogpost-75
