Brittany and I met 4 years ago when Brian and I were first married and Brittany was a sophomore in college. She was part of a group of students from Maranatha Baptist University that attend our church every week and help out. Over the years we have been blessed by her sweet spirit, that is until Charlie came along and whisked her off to his church in Fond du lac where his dad pastors. 😉 We have to forgive him though – he and Brittany are so perfect for each other! I so look forward to seeing where God asks them to serve, together!
Didn’t Charlie find a gorgeous ring? Brittany thinks so 😉 We met up downtown Saturday for their engagement session and these two braved the cold and wind like champs! I, on the other hand, wimped out and wore a hat and long poofy coat. And warm socks. Dumbledore may not have actually dreamt about a new pair of woolen socks but I sure do!
Come on, son. They are just so cute – in fact, they did so awesome that we finished their session a good 30 minutes early! I love all the connections we have too – remember the cuter-than-gerber baby I blogged about a couple days ago? (blog post here). Aaron (whose wife is also named Brittany) is Brittany’s older brother! And last summer, Charlie was in Robert and Katie’s wedding in Michigan! (blog post here)
I walked away for a few seconds to check a setting and when I turned around, Charlie had a grin on his face and a pile of leaves in his hands! These shots turned out to be a couple of my favorites.
We were all packed up and heading back to the cars and we walked by this beautiful courtyard (around the corner from the red doors – silly me!) and I made them stop and get into model mode again because I just couldn’t resist! They were such good sports! While I love the Christmas season, I cannot wait for it to be May so that I can photograph their wedding!
